ABOUT ME
I am Maciej S. Kumosa — a materials scientist, engineer, and lifelong explorer of scientific frontiers, the human experience, and the natural world. For the past decade, I led the National Science Foundation Center for Novel High Voltage/Temperature Materials and Structures (the HVT Center), pursuing research on materials for extreme environments and helping advance next-generation high-voltage and high-temperature technologies.
Beyond science, I am the author of my autobiography Plagues and Miracles, President of Miracle Endeavors, LLC, and creator-host of an upcoming podcast devoted to stories, ideas, discovery, and the quiet connections between science, nature, and human experience. & Research
The HVT Center (Novel High-Voltage / High-Temperature Materials & Structures) was established with a bold goal: to research, design and validate advanced materials and structural solutions capable of performing reliably under the most extreme electrical, thermal, mechanical and environmental conditions. Under my leadership, the Center merges academic rigor, industry collaboration and government support to drive innovations that can reshape power transmission, aerospace, and other critical infrastructure domains.
